Shravan Prabhu

Research Analyst

Shravan is a Research Analyst with the Risks and Adaptation team at the Council. His work focuses on integrated data analysis by leveraging GIS and remote sensing techniques that help design robust climate risk assessment tools. Before joining the Council, Shravan has interned with ESRI's technical team and a hydrogeological start-up. He worked on spatial mapping, geoprocessing, data analysis, and field surveying.

Shravan holds a Master’s degree in Geospatial Technology from the Symbiosis Institute of Geoinformatics, Pune, and a Bachelor’s in Geology from Goa University. As part of his academic projects, he has worked on integrating his technical and theoretical knowledge into various domains such as studying climate change implications on river hydro-geochemistry, disaster susceptibility modelling, suitability modelling, and urban change detection mapping. Shravan seeks to pursue a career in public policy where he can help mitigate climate change risks by integrating spatial technology.

Outside of work, Shravan is a big football fan and supports FC Barcelona. He also likes to pursue weight training and cooking in his free time.
