Shravan is a Programme Associate with the Climate Resilience team at The Council. His research primarily revolves around quantifying physical climate risks associated with extreme weather events, heat stress, and rainfall variability across sectors such as energy, agriculture, water, finance, industries, and health using an integrated analysis of big climate, geospatial, and socio-economic data. His research contributes to the development of sub-national climate policies and developing risk-informed decision-making tools. His key proficiencies lie in combining data science and policy research. Before joining the Council, Shravan interned with ESRI's technical team and a hydrogeological start-up.
Shravan holds a Master’s degree in Geospatial Technology from the Symbiosis Institute of Geoinformatics, Pune, and a Bachelor’s in Earth Sciences from Goa University. As a climate and sustainability researcher, he is passionate about creating data-driven solutions and innovative approaches to tackle complex challenges and promote a more sustainable and resilient future. Outside of work, Shravan supports FC Barcelona and enjoys swimming.
