Shravan Prabhu

Research Analyst

Shravan is a Research Analyst with the Climate Resilience team at The Council. His work primarily revolves around quantifying the acute and chronic risks of climate change and mapping vulnerabilities using an integrated analysis of big climate, geospatial, and socio-economic data. His research feeds into the development of sub-national climate policies and action plans, and in designing risk-informed decision-making toolkits. His key proficiencies lie in geospatial analysis tools (ESRI and open source), data science, climatological analysis, and policy research. Before joining the Council, Shravan interned with ESRI's technical team and a hydrogeological start-up.

Shravan holds a Master’s degree in Geospatial Technology from the Symbiosis Institute of Geoinformatics, Pune and a Bachelor’s in Earth Sciences from Goa University. As a climate and sustainability researcher, he is passionate about creating data-driven solutions and innovative approaches to tackle complex challenges and promote a more sustainable and resilient future. Outside of work, Shravan is an FC Barcelona supporter and likes to pursue weight lifting, swimming and cooking.
