Shreya is a Programme Associate with the Climate Resilience team at The Council. Her work focuses on spatio-temporal analysis that helps in designing decision-making tools for effective policy making around the intricacies of climate change risks, sustainability, and environmental resources management. This includes intersecting science, policy, and practice to mainstream climate actions. Prior to joining The Council, Shreya interned with organisations like IIRS, ISRO, amongst others. She worked on spatial mapping and data analysis towards mainstreaming mitigation and adaptation actions.
She is a university gold medalist and holds a Master’s degree in Environment Management from the Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, New Delhi. She completed her Bachelor’s in Botany (Hons) from Sri Venkateswara College, Delhi University. She has experience working with local communities and government officials across levels, including district and block levels.
In her spare time, she loves to travel and explore new places. She is passionate about dancing, rain, cinema, and savoury food!
