Shruti Gauba is a Research Analyst with the Technology Futures team at The Council. Her work centers on industrial policy for strengthening the clean energy technology manufacturing ecosystem, enhancing India’s clean energy supply chains, and monitoring the energy security implications.

Before joining The Council, Shruti served as a Research Consultant with the EPIC India team at the University of Chicago Trust, New Delhi. There, she focused on the adverse developmental effects of electricity cross-subsidies, and helped in assessing the effectiveness of targeted enforcement strategies for boosting the revenue collection of electricity distribution companies. Her experience also includes internships at ICRIER, eGov Foundation, and the University of San Francisco, where she honed her research and data analysis skills.

Shruti holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics from the University of Delhi. Outside of work, she enjoys creating data visualisations, jamming on her ukulele, perfecting her many pasta recipes, binge-watching movies, and striving to improve her running records.
