Fellow and Lead — International Cooperation

Shuva leads CEEW’s International Cooperation programme spanning five regions – Asia-Oceania, West Asia, Africa, Europe, and the Americas, and is part of the CEO’s Foresight team. Her portfolio includes energy and resource security, low-carbon growth ,international finance, climate resilience, nexus challenges, and global governance.

Shuva anchors CEEW's advisory to multilaterals like G20, Quad, BRICS and the UN; is a Global Solutions Fellow, and a UNFCCC CoP Observer since 2016. She engages with governments, institutions and industry to impact sustainable development at scale, expand CEEW’s influence as a voice for emerging economies, and take the ‘India Story’ global.

Shuva has 25+ years of expertise in public policy, project management, corporate operations and branding, She is an international speaker and author with many thought-provoking publications. Her co-authored 2020 report, Jobs, Growth and Sustainability: A New Social Contract for India’s Recovery, is archived at the US Library of Congress.

In 2014, Shuva, then-Chief Operating Officer of CMYK Multimedia, a firm of The Pioneer (est. 1864) newsgroup, segued from her prolific infotech career to industrial policy. As Head – New Initiatives, Energy & Infrastructure, Confederation of Indian Industry, she led major assignments that helped rapidly and exponentially scale India’s renewables sector and supported the formative years of the International Solar Alliance.

In 2010, Shuva instituted the Subir Raha Memorial Scholarship for underprivileged engineering students. An avid gamer since the ‘80s, she volunteered as Staff Writer for Metacritic-listed AdventureGamers.com for a decade.

Shuva is a Postgraduate in Advertising & Communications Management from NMIMS, Mumbai, where she ranked First and was awarded the Advertising Agencies Association of India Raman Memorial Trophy. She has a BSc Honours with Distinction in Life Sciences and Biochemistry from St. Xavier’s College, Mumbai.
