Convening
Bringing together organisations and individuals working at the intersection of women and climate.

The India Chapter of Women Leading on Climate (WLOC) — a global coalition founded by Catherine McKenna (CEO, Climate and Nature Solutions; former Minister of Environment and Climate Change, Canada) together with María Mendiluce (CEO, We Mean Business Coalition) — is developed and convened by CEEW. It works to elevate women's leadership in climate action across India and the Global South, by amplifying voices, showcasing solutions, and strengthening leadership pathways.
India is emerging as a leading voice for the Global South on climate, guided by its own vision of a Viksit Bharat by 2047. Across the country, women are already driving climate action — in research, policy, government, industry, and grassroots communities — but this work is often fragmented and event-based. WLOC India is built to be that anchor.
