Aishwarya Krishan Joshi

Research Analyst

A development professional and an ecologist by training, Aishwarya works as a Research Analyst with the Sustainable Food Systems team, primarily focusing on Bio-economy and Nature-based solutions. Before joining The Council, Aishwarya worked with Wildlife Trust of India on Human-elephant conflict and with a Ph.D. Scholar from North Carolina State University, New York, on an urban ecology project aimed at studying the interactions between birds, trees, and people in the urban landscape of Delhi. She has also interned with organizations such as the Wildlife Institute of India, People's Science Institute, and Coca-Cola.

Aishwarya holds a bachelor's degree in Zoology from Gargi College, University of Delhi, a master's degree in Environment Management from Forest Research Institute, Dehradun, and a postgraduate diploma in Rural Management from the Institute of Rural Management Anand.

Apart from work, she is an amateur birder who watches birds, butterflies, and trees most of her time. She also enjoys trekking and reading classic fiction novels.
