Amlan works as a Research Analyst in the CEEW Centre for Energy Finance team. Prior to joining The Council, he worked as a manager at Dr. Reddy’s Foundation. At CEF, Amlan tracks India’s energy transition, financing of renewable energy and pathways to exit existing coal power.
Amlan was born amidst the 1999 super cyclone at Kendrapara, a coastal district in Odisha. He completed his primary education in Bhubaneswar and Delhi. He holds a Bachelors in Economics from Ashoka university and a Micromasters (online) in Data and Development Policy from MIT.
Amlan likes writing and reading poetry in Hindustani from Siraj to Parveen Shakir, biking from Kalahandi to Kendrapara, playing football on pitches and beaches alike, doing tricky mental maths from square roots to factorials and reading contemporary political philosophy from Rawls to Hayek.
