Aryan is a Research Analyst with the Climate Resilience team at The Council. His work primarily focuses on analysing policies from a socio-economic lens which contributes to people-centric adaptation strategies. Prior to working at the Council, Aryan interned with several organisations including CPR, ORF, Jan Sahas, and Tata Trusts, where he explored the intersection between climate change and topics such as land rights, health, migration and displacement, urban development, education, and livelihoods.
Aryan has completed his Bachelor’s in Social Sciences from Tata Institute of Social Sciences, School of Rural Development in Tuljapur, Maharashtra, where he initiated the first environment club focusing on lifestyle improvement and waste reduction strategies. For his dissertation, he worked on identifying the link between climate-induced migration and trafficking of women in India.
He actively dedicates several hours to exploring new forms of art, especially filmmaking and music production. He is particularly interested in different animation styles and is a huge Pokémon buff. He frequently writes movie reviews, explores new cuisines, and excels at vintage gaming.
