Dharshan works as a Research Analyst with the Industrial Sustainability team at The Council, having worked with the team as a Consultant for 18 months. His work focuses on identifying net-zero pathways for Indian industries, carrying out techno-economic assessment of alternative technologies, and designing robust energy policies.
Dharshan holds a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from SASTRA University and a master's in Sustainable Energy Engineering with a specialisation in Energy policy and planning from KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Sweden. He developed his master thesis on the life cycle emissions of a camera system used in automobiles. His academic projects also include developing a business model for decarbonizing the aviation industry, and building a smart and sustainable university campus. His interests for sustainability and climate change stems from his volunteering experience for an NGO.
Outside of work, Dharshan loves to play cricket and badminton, cook different cuisines, and listen to old classical songs. Do drop him a message anytime anywhere for a game of badminton or cricket.
