The Council on Energy, Environment and Water (CEEW) is an independent, non-partisan, not-for-profit policy research institution, devoted to research on all matters affecting the use, reuse, and misuse of resources. We maintain our independence through a diversity of funding sources such as donations and grants from private and philanthropic foundations, multilateral organisations, corporations, and public institutions.
At CEEW, we separate clients from funding institutions. Funders are never given the right to final review of any our publications prior to release. Our monitoring and evaluation systems are designed to prevent any conflicts of interest.
CEEW is committed to being a resource for policymakers, academics, industry stakeholders, journalists, students, and the wider public. It makes all its research and analysis freely available to the public.
CEEW is a registered Trust under "The Registration Act, 1908” and governed with “The Indian Trust Act 1882". CEEW is also registered under section 12A of the Income Tax Act, 1961 and has approval under section 80G of the Income Tax Act, 1961.
The Council on Energy, Environment and Water was registered under Section 11 (1) of the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act, 2010 on 31 May 2016. Our registration number is 231661640. Learn more about our funding from overseas institutions, FCRA details, and other registration details here.
