Poojil is a Communications Associate in The Council’s Outreach team, where she focuses on data and visual storytelling. Poojil was a Data Journalism Fellow with Newslaundry-Indian School of Business, where she focused on writing and visualising stories on topics ranging from India’s soil health to the state of digital payments during the pandemic.
Before she became a full time coding and design nerd, Poojil was a part-time coding nerd, dabbling in the field during her undergraduation in English Literature from Miranda House, University of Delhi. She leverages her social sciences background to create visually appealing human-centric data stories.
Poojil loves everything pop culture and as a trained Bharatanatyam dancer—is always looking for fun ways to incorporate her love for dance and music into her data stories. When she’s not prematurely going through her eyes sitting in front of the laptop, she can be found ‘investing’ them scrolling her phone, mostly playing Harry Potter Hogwarts Mystery.
