Rakshitha is a Communications Specialist at The Council team leading the digital strategy for CEEW.

Before joining The Council, she worked as a multiplatform editor for Ascend, Harvard Business Review's vertical for early career professionals. Her work focused on designing and executing the social media strategy for Ascend to understand the brand's audiences and lead organic growth on various social platforms. She also wrote on a diverse range of issues including gender, mental health, and DEI policies at work. Prior to that, she was a breaking news editor for a U.S.-based news media agency covering politics, gun violence, and climate.

Rakshitha is a journalist by training. She holds a Masters in Science in Journalism from Columbia University and a Bachelors in Arts (Honors) from Lady Shri Ram College, Delhi University. She also has a PG Diploma in Conflict Transformation and Peacebuilding (CTPB).
