Rashi is a part of The Council’s team working on power sector reforms in Uttar Pradesh. Her research and capacity building efforts are focused on improving the policy, regulatory, and governance scenario.
Prior to joining The Council, she worked with a consulting firm providing advisory services to public and private utilities on regulatory and commercial issues related to tariff, petitions, power purchase as well as policy designs. She has also worked with The Energy and Resource Institute (TERI), a policy research and advocacy think tank for more than two years, as a Research Associate. During her stint at TERI, she worked on key policy issues including electricity distribution reforms, energy market transitions, energy access, ease of doing business, and regulatory impact assessment among others.
Rashi holds a Masters in Energy Systems Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and B.Tech in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from SRM University, Chennai.
Outside of work Rashi enjoys travelling, exploring local cuisines and cultures. She is also trained in Bharatnatyam and Kathak dance forms and loves to perform whenever she finds a chance.
