Ujjawal is a seasoned development sector professional with over ten years of expertise in programme implementation. He has successfully managed multi-stakeholder donor funded projects and worked closely with vulnerable communities in both India and Kenya.
At CEEW, Ujjawal holds the position of Programme Lead for the Sustainable Cooling Programme. His primary responsibilities revolve around collaborating with the government and civil society organizations to promote sustainable refrigerant management practices in India. Additionally, he actively contributes to building and mainstreaming cooling action plans at the state level. Ujjawal has previously held positions at esteemed organizations such as the Indian Statistical Institute (ISI) in New Delhi, TechnoServe in Mumbai and Nairobi, and the Institute for Financial Management and Research (IFMR) in Chennai.
Ujjawal is a recipient of the prestigious Felix Scholarship. He holds a Masters degree in Development Studies from the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), University of London, and a Post Graduate Diploma in Development Management from the Indian Institute of Forest Management (IIFM) in Bhopal. He enjoys trekking in the Himalayas, reading contemporary fiction and can have a fresh cup of coffee anytime of the day.
