Designation offered:
Senior Communications Specialist

Outreach
Reporting to:
Senior Communications Managers (dual reporting to both)
Location:
New Delhi, India
Purpose:
We seek to hire a candidate who can strategise digital outreach for CEEW and lead campaigns through social media, web properties, and partnerships. An ideal candidate should possess excellent analytical abilities and knowledge of web development and SEO, be able to liaise with third-party vendors and have a good grasp of the dynamic environment in digital communications. The candidate should be solution-oriented, impact-oriented and committed to adhering to timelines.
If you think you can ace content dissemination and fancy deep-diving into data analytics, we would like to speak to you. If you can help us mainstream sustainability from the margins through effective communication, we would consider hiring you.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for shaping and driving CEEW's overall digital communications strategy across platforms, ensuring all digital assets work together to maximise institutional impact.
- Lead the strategic dissemination of digital content for CEEW. Grow and deepen engagement among priority audiences, including policymakers, media, funders, academia, practitioners and young professionals.
- Conceptualise and lead integrated digital campaigns to humanise climate change and sustainability. Drive more impact-oriented and targeted communication through a data-backed approach.
- Co-own the revamp of the official website for CEEW.
- Develop and execute customised social media strategies for LinkedIn, Instagram, X, and any new platform that CEEW leverages, and grow platform influence and CEEW's digital footprint, including increasing followers, subscribers, engagement rates and audience quality across all digital platforms through a combination of organic growth, networked communication, employee advocacy, strategic partnerships, creator collaborations and performance marketing.
- Own the website as a strategic communications platform, including user experience, content discoverability, SEO performance, analytics, conversion, audience journeys and continuous optimisation, rather than a one-time redesign. Work closely with the SEO partners and agencies to broaden the reach of brand CEEW.
- Strengthen CEEW’s presence across AI platforms, understand trends and implement AI-first strategies across search discoverability, content optimisation, generative workflows, audience behaviour, AI-powered search platforms and emerging digital ecosystems.
- Drive and grow the audience base for CEEW emailers (Between the Lines, UpChart). Introduce relevant emailer properties to strengthen CEEW’s digital outreach, as required.
- Scale CEEW’s reach through new, snackable video products and CEEW’s YouTube channel. Build a broader video strategy across short-form, long-form, thought leadership and platform-specific storytelling.
- Strengthen the brand voice for CEEW on digital media, in collaboration with the Senior Communications Manager. Monitor CEEW's digital reputation, strengthen social listening, and manage digital risks where required.
- Manage a team of social media, web, video, and design associates. Mentor, build capacity and foster innovation within the digital team.
- Create an employee advocacy programme that enables researchers and leadership to become active digital ambassadors for CEEW, and develop amplification strategies with institutional partners, universities, think tanks, creators and aligned organisations so that our content reaches new audiences through trusted networks.
- Assist in the development of new digital dashboards and tools.
- Stay up to date with digital trends and emerging platforms. Evaluate and pilot emerging platforms, formats and technologies to continuously improve CEEW's digital presence.
- Implement paid digital marketing campaigns on Google, social and other platforms. Develop audience acquisition strategies, campaign optimisation, budgeting and measuring ROI across digital channels.
- Build performance dashboards to measure campaign effectiveness, audience insights and attribution, and translate analytics into actionable communication strategies.
Other responsibilities
- Coordinate with third-party vendors (designers, printers, photographer/videographer) to ensure that outputs are delivered as per timelines
- Brainstorm with the team on creative engagement ideas for digital media and work towards executing these
- Provide on-ground support for CEEW events
- Support the Outreach team in other tasks as and when required.
In addition to the duties and responsibilities above, the individual should be prepared, as and when necessary, to take on additional tasks.
