Dhruvak is Programme Lead at the Council on Energy, Environment and Water and the Next Generation India Fellow for Affordable and Clean Energy supported by the United Nations Foundation and CEEW.
With nearly nine years of work in public policy, he specializes in the interface of technology and innovation policy and power market regulation for a cleaner electricity grid. His work has spanned state-level electricity regulation reforms in Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, and Rajasthan, as well as the efficiency of gas markets in the European Union and energy efficiency policy design and implementation with the governments of the USA and Indonesia. His current focus is on electrifying energy end uses in India without oversizing the grid by tapping demand as a resource through smarter pricing, open network innovations and energy efficiency.
Dhruvak holds a Master of Philosophy from the University of Cambridge and a Bachelor of Technology from Manipal University Jaipur.
