Programme Associate

At The Council, Shruti works on access to energy for rural livelihoods. She is passionate about creating sustainable livelihoods and is currently working on the Powering Livelihoods initiative that aims to boost India’s rural economy by scaling up the penetration of clean energy powered appliances for livelihoods.

Prior to joining The Council, Shruti worked with Tata Trusts and FREND on the Internet Saathi initiative focused on digital literacy and livelihoods for rural women across India. She has also worked with a patent research organisation providing strategic consulting in the field of intellectual property asset management.

She holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Sustainable Management from the Indian Institute of Management Lucknow and a B.Tech. in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee.
