Tariffs & Regulations

The Council’s research on tariffs and regulations aims to minimise the financial burden on public resources, thereby protecting the interests of the consumer. It does so by examining the impact of statutory, regulatory, and technological interventions on the consumers, discoms, and governments. The team also aims to augment the consumers’ understanding of the tariff setting procedure and other regulatory decisions, which have a bearing on their rights and responsibilities. For this purpose, the team closely engages with consumers to gather feedback, share information, and build capacity on topical issues.
