Anas Rahman

Programme Associate

Rahman, a member of the Council’s Energy Access team, works based out of Chhattisgarh on sustainable agriculture with special focus on solar based irrigation. He was a fellow in the Chhattisgarh Chief Minister’s Good Governance Fellowship (CMGGF) program and worked with the Bastar District Administration. Prior to that, he completed the Prime Minister’s Rural Development Fellowship (PMRDF) program in Odisha under the Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India. During the fellowship, he worked with district administrations of backward and conflict riddled districts in sectors such as health, education, agriculture and urban development etc. His work focussed on improving public service delivery in these sectors, addressing gaps in government schemes and other public governance issues. 

Rahman completed B. Tech in Chemical Engineering from IIT Madras and a post-graduation in Development Practice from Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai. His career in the development sector has exposed him to alternate sustainable ways of living sustained by rural and tribal communities.

One of the perks of working in remote areas is the opportunity to explore the unexplored. Going on solo trips have been his favourite pastime in the last few years. He also loves to read online magazines and articles on diverse topics.
