Ramandeep Singh is a Research Analyst in the Sustainable Food Systems team at Council. Before joining the Council, he worked as a Research Associate for Outline India Pvt Ltd. He worked for international clients like AIR (American Institute for Research) during his tenure. He has also worked at Atul ltd. as a postgraduate trainee in product management and business development. Along with his Ph.D., he worked as a teaching assistant for three years.

Ramandeep graduated in Agriculture (Hons.) from Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar and completed his post-graduation in Agribusiness Management from Navsari Agricultural University, Gujarat. During his PG, he was awarded the ICAR-PG scholarship (NTS). He has exposure to satellite data collection and processing applications for agriculture end use through various portals (e.g., Sentinel, Bhuvan) during his research project at PGDAEM(MOOCS) from MANAGE. His doctoral work, “Consumers’ Netnographic Insight into Indian Yogurt Industry: A Big Data Application” inspired him to participate in initiatives using cutting-edge technology to address societal issues.

Ramandeep participated in Punjabi folk dance as well as other cultural folk dances as part of his extracurricular activities in college. He also represented his college in folk dance up to the National level. This helped him qualify as a professional choreographer and allowed him to work in the Punjabi film “Angrej”. Ramandeep was part of the director’s team covering all the dance directions in the background and got a cameo role as well. He also writes poetry.
